Spidex

Integrated Pest Management is the most natural way to combat a pest. Spidex is a product that introduces Phytoseiulus persimilis predator mites in the garden, which get fed by red spidermites from all stages, with a preference for the eggs. These predator mites drill the eggs from red spidermites and consume its content. Spidex can be used as preventative and at first sign of mite presence.

Phytoseiulus persimilis predator mites contents in Spidex should be introduced in the infected area as soon as received as the predator mite only survives at the expense of red spidermite (Tetranychus spp.).

To apply Spidex it is important to shake the bottle and put it up-side-down carefully, and spread the material over the leaves of the plant.

For an optimal functioning of Spidex the relative humidity should be over 75% and the temperature over 20ºC, at least a couple hours per day. Phytoseiulus persimilis does not enter in diapause.

Being Spidex a product containing alive material, it is not compatible with the use of pesticides (that could harm predator mites).

*As Spidex are biological beneficial organisms with a very short life cycle, it is impossible to stock the product. Any user that orders Spidex to this website should wait for  week to receive its order (in order to receive a fresh and alive product, that works as expected). Due this exceptionality, we will not accept orders of Spidex by pay at delivery payment.
