CMH fixtures (ceramic metalhalide) produce the most efficient light for growing indoors. LEC ballasts, thanks to its internal technology, are able to produce up to 40% more yields, compared with a classic HPS light, what increases the watt-lumen ratio, improving this way the yields per crop, keeping the same electrical consumption of an HPS 600w.
The LEC 630w Solux kit includes a double ended lamp, that can be choosen between a 3100K or a 4200K (color temperature, so spectrum of light produced by the lamp). While 3100K lamps are suitable for indica strains, with low height, 4200K lamps work better for sativa strains, and indica-sativa hybrids. Both lamps bring a mixed spectrum light, so the whole cycle can be done within just one lamp.
Solux LEC 630w DE fixtures pull an electrical consumption of 630w, but yield similar amounts of an HPS 1000w, with a dried flowers yield up to 1,8 g/w (managed by an expert grower in spaces of 1,2 x 1,2 meters. LEC Solux DE equipments use a double ended lamp, an electronic dimmable ballast (specific for these type of lamps) and a reflector (that can be removed to clean it) It is important to say that an LEC ballast is valid for these type of fixtures, but also for HPS lamps (it will be only necessary to use Double Ended bulbs, or replace the lamp holder for a single ended one. This fixture includes a dimming controller (for manual dimming) offering a two year warranty.
One of the main characteristics of these fixtures is they can transform voltage from 220V to 400V, making the lamp to work in higher performance mode, increasing also the lifespan of it, that will increase up to 8000 hours before the lumen performance decrease to a 90% (this translated into cycles makes possible to proceed with 6 cycles before replacing it for a new one).
The reflector included in this kit has a 96% reflectivity, being integrated in the fixture, and can spread the light covering up to 1,44 m2 (being the maximum intense covering 1,20 m2). thanks to its studied design, this reflector does not create hot spots, due to a better light spreading, and can be used in growtents and also in grow-rooms and greenhouses).
What we wiould like to advise is these lamps produce the same amount of lumens than a 1000w HPS one do, so we should keep our lamps at least 80 cm away from canopy, being recommended to keep 1m distance (specially when working with many units in the same growing area). A common setting is to hand the LEC 630w DE fixture at 2,20 meters ceiling, and don't move it, so bigger the plants are, closer they get from the light.
