The Milwaukee MW600 PRO is a high-precision portable meter designed to measure dissolved oxygen levels in water, with a measurement range of 0.0 to 19.9 mg/L and an accuracy of ± 1.5% of full scale.

The Milwaukee MW600 PRO Dissolved Oxygen Meter is a high-precision portable tool designed to measure dissolved oxygen levels in water. With a measurement range of 0.0 to 19.9 mg/L and an accuracy of ± 1.5% of full scale, this meter provides reliable and accurate results.

One of the highlighted features of this meter is its automatic temperature compensation, ensuring accurate measurements regardless of water temperature variations.

The meter calibration is manually performed at two points, zero and slope, ensuring optimal precision in all measurements.

With an ergonomic and lightweight design, the Milwaukee MW600 PRO is easy to carry and use in different environments, from laboratories to field applications. Its large digital LCD screen provides quick and easy-to-read results.

This meter uses a reinforced polarographic probe MA840 with a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) oxygen-permeable membrane sensor, ensuring a quick and accurate response to changes in dissolved oxygen levels.

In addition, the Milwaukee MW600 PRO comes with 5 O-rings, membranes, and a protective cap, along with a 10-foot probe cable that provides additional flexibility during testing.

With a battery life of up to 70 hours with continuous use and a low battery warning, this meter is reliable and convenient for extended use.

The proper care and use of this meter include a "open air" calibration procedure clearly outlined to ensure accurate and reliable measurements at all times.

In summary, the Milwaukee MW600 PRO Dissolved Oxygen Meter is a popular choice among field biologists, educators, fish farmers, and koi pond owners due to its reliable operation, precision, and ease of use.

CARE AND USE
OPEN AIR CALIBRATION PROCEDURE

  1. Remove the membrane

Remove the membrane from the end of the probe and dry the diode.
  2. Adjust to zero on the display

Connect the probe to the base unit and turn on the unit. Its display should read 0.0. If not, adjust the "0" position screw on the front of the unit using the provided screwdriver and, through the access hole, make the unit display read 0.0.
  3. Fill the membrane

Place the O-ring inside the membrane on the shoulder at the base of the threads. Fill the membrane just before the O-ring with the MA9071 electrolyte solution. Make sure there are no bubbles inside the membrane. (Air bubbles are the main cause of calibration failure.)
  4. Place the membrane

Screw the membrane onto the probe.
  5. Let stabilize

Turn on the meter and hang the probe from the end of a table pointing downwards and let the unit display stabilize (this may take 5 to 15 minutes).
  6. Adjust

Press and hold the "Cal" button on the front face of the meter and, using the screwdriver, go to the front calibration position "100%" and make the display read 100.

Additional Tips:

  • Membrane inspection: Periodically check the membrane for wrinkles or stretch marks. If you notice any imperfections, replace the membrane with a new one to ensure accurate and consistent measurements.
  • Use of fresh electrolyte solution: Always use fresh electrolyte solution, such as MA9071, to maintain measurement accuracy over time.
