LED lights are a revolutionary equipment for indoor plants growing. LEDs are more efficient lights to grow cannabis, generate less heat, and have a longer lifetime than older HPS lamps. That's why today we present what are probably the best LED grow lights in market: Lush Led Lighting.

This American company, has developed during the last years a lamp specially designed to grow marijuana plants indoors. Lush Lighting LED equipments imitate sunlight, offering plants all necesary energy for a maximum grow and bloom.

Thanks to the studies, Lush Lighting presents a range of products that, different to other LED brands, improves performance compared with the current high pressure sodium lamps. From its led equipments we stock some models with different power that go from a 180w up to 650w.

Depending on the power choosen we'll find:

Beneffits of Lush Lighting LEDs

SantYerbasi it's been testing different units from these company (test done by different gardeners in different places), noticing a clear beneffit using these LEDs. In our test we compared the results gotten from LEDs, with the ones using an HPS equipment of higher power, being allways better the results got by LED lamps. In our tests we compared:

lumenator 2x side

A: Lumentor 2x (180w) with HPS 250w.

B: Dominator 2X XL (650w) with HPS 600w (lumatek in Super Lumens position = 800w).

In-between beneffits we would like to highlight:

Less consume: In the case A, Lumenator 2x got better results than HPS 250w (220g against 180g), with a electricity bill lower, thanks to using 70w less. In case B Dominator 2x XL got some incredible results of 750g, against 650g of HPS (with less electricty consume, due to the super lumens position of the HPS (what means a a consume of 800w).

* We should add to this HPS consume the electricity used by the air condition needed to proceed with the test during sumer season (Air condition machine that was not needed using the Dominator).

Better yields: As we commented, in both cases the bud production was superior within LED lights. Also we would like to highlight that the appearance of the flowers was bettter from the ones grown with LEDs, due to the light spectrum used, and the intensity of these kind of lights. All LED's buds were dense like rocks, and were coated with more resin. This density comes from a better penetration of the light in plants, what gets higher density and number of flowers.

Less temperature: Due to our tests done during the hottest season, when temperatures are higher, LED equipments take an advantage, because thanks to its lower working temperature, do not need air contioners to keep the garden temperature lower than 28ºC. Beside this HPS lights need a climate controller if we want to preserve the quality and quantity of our crop. Also thanks to lower temps, LED plants showed more resin production than HPS.

Quicker crops: One of the main characteristics growing with LED lights is that plants can adapt better to the enviroment, and also to the photoperiod of light. During our tests we noticed that LED plants were ready to harvest about a week before than the same in HPS (due to a shorter time to adapt when we switched to 12/12, adn start flowering). Plants grown under LED started to flower 5-7 days after changing the photoperiod, while plants grown under HPS took between 10-15 days before starting to show its first pistils.

Longer lifetime: As it is well known, high pressure sodium lamps suffer a clear performance reduction after some cycles (Holland growers usually replace them after 2-3 growing cycles). Led's lifetime is considerably longer (they can asure a 10 years life), so growers using LED technology are saving money everytime they should change the HPS bulbs (let's say once per year). Adding to bulbs there is a recomendation to substitute the ballasts once every 5 years.

Coverage of Lush Lighting LED lamps:

Lumenator 2x: Maximu coverage 90x90 cm (intense coverage 60x60).

Dominator 2x XL: Maximum coverage 150x150 cm (intense coverage 120x120).

Herbalvador 2x: 120x120 cm for clones, 90x90 for plants in vegetative stage.

At this point, we talked about some beneffits of models like Lumenator 2x and Dominator 2x XL because both growing equipments work during the whole cycle of plants (growing and blooming).

To those users who keep motherplants and make their own clones, we specially recommend using Vegetator and Herbalvador, due to its specific spectrum for vegetative stage (more blue spectrum). Both models guarantee plants with a shorter internodal space, what helps to get thicker buds and better yields during flowering.

We, SantYerbasi crew members like to test products before adding them to our catalogue, an that's why we decided to test some LED lights in our gardens after years waiting for an LED light we could trust. Trying to get the more consistent results, we decided to just change the HPS light of our gardens to these LED equipments, keeping the same surrounding tools, so we could appreciate a what trully happens. The results were touchable and we could not be more satisfied.

Testing Lush Lighting:

DR60 growtent with Lumenator 2x

Homebox L growtent with Dominator 2x XL

Dominator 2x XL for marijuana in vegetative stage.

Dominator 2x XL is a 650w LED equipment.

In our tests we used a Dominator (placed at the top position of the growtent) placing the plants at the bottom. Usually marijuana seeds need 10 days before starting to grow (period needed by the roots to fill the container). In this case, LED plants showed a high vigourosity after 5 days being in the growtent. More than this growing vigourosity, we also noticied less internodal space, what made a huge difference once plants started to flower. Another difference was the more balanced enviroment of LED growtent. LED technology becomes in healthier plants, what means a faster growth.
